About the Role
Shape a career to be proud of as part of an award‑winning Regional Scotland team delivering some of the Highlands’ most complex mechanical building services projects. You’ll lead major mechanical scopes across the Inverness–Nairn corridor, contributing to flagship builds such as Nairn Academy. Our portfolio in the North is pushing modern methods and sustainable outcomes. You’ll join the Regional Scotland Building Services delivery unit (integrating the former BBK business), providing a full MEP offering from design through commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will own the mechanical scope end‑to‑end on large building projects, ensuring safe, coordinated and high‑quality delivery that meets programme and budget.
* Lead the planning, coordination and day‑to‑day execution of all mechanical building services; maintain the mechanical programme and align activities to milestones.
* Manage all mechanical submittals, technical data and drawings; drive RFIs/clarifications/changes and maintain accurate as‑built records.
* Oversee procurement and logistics for mechanical plant, equipment and materials; maintain submittal logs and approval tracking.
* Lead mechanical subcontractor orientation, coordination and performance management; verify installations match approved submittals/specifications.
* Act as on‑site mechanical quality manager; ensure compliance with standards, support testing & commissioning, training and handover documentation.
* Chair mechanical pre‑construction/coordination/progress meetings; liaise with architects, engineers, clients and internal stakeholders on mechanical design and delivery.
You Will Bring
* Proven track record delivering mechanical packages on projects valued at £10m+ (MEP/mechanical scope)
* Qualification in MEP Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
* Strong mechanical coordination across plantrooms, HVAC, LTHW, water services, drainage and associated systems; experience in schools, hospitals or major projects desirable
* Confident stakeholder manager with excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills; unwavering focus on quality, safety and sustainability
