Overview
Bedborough House is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time role. Shifts: 8AM - 10PM (days including weekends). Rate: £13.20 per hour. Bedborough House is located in Radstock, Somerset. We offer residential support for eight autistic people, and those who have a learning disability. Our home is located in a residential area, surrounded by the beautiful views of Somerset. We provide person-centred support, promoting independence, daily living skills and access to the community, helping to improve our residents’ quality of life.
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
* Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
* Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
