Area Sales Manager – Midlands – Lighting
They are a growing manufacturer of lighting solutions with four key brands in a well‑known portfolio. Part of a larger European group with investment in the UK, the company has technical and customer support teams in the UK and factories in Germany, Belgium and France. The business has a solid base of customers in the Wholesale and Contractors sector and is looking for a hungry and driven sales person to grow market share and drive wallet spend with electrical wholesale customers in the Midlands region. Lots of team and manager support and good data and existing business to build from.
Product portfolio includes industrial, commercial and emergency lighting, ranging from cost‑effective items to high‑spec architectural lighting solutions.
Responsibilities: Manage and grow a portfolio of independent electrical wholesalers within Birmingham and Central England, driving sales across all lighting brands in the portfolio. Expand the customer base by bringing on new installers and wholesalers and re‑opening dormant branches. Sell industrial, commercial and emergency lighting products ranging from cost‑effective to high‑spec solutions, and support the customer base with technical and project support.
Qualifications
* 2 years or more working in field sales, ideally in the electrical sector.
* Understanding of electrical wholesalers is ideal but not essential.
* New business mentality with the ability to uncover specifications or projects via wholesalers.
* Organised, driven and professional technical salesperson with good attention to detail.

* Basic Salary of £45–55k d.o.e.
