You'll play a key role in delivering complex mechanical building services designs across a varied and prestigious project portfolio — with a clear pathway to progress into a principal and leadership position for the right candidate.

* Prepare, review and issue detailed design calculations, specifications, drawings and tender documentation
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers within the mechanical team
* Support business development activity including bid writing, fee proposals and client engagement (Principal level)
* Review and quality‑check work produced by others, upholding the highest standards of technical output across the team
* Carry out site visits during the construction phase to review installations, resolve technical queries and support contract administration
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, industry standards and emerging low carbon technologies
* Contribute to the development of internal processes, technical standards and best practice within the mechanical discipline

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* 7+ years' experience in mechanical building services design
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and low carbon systems
