We are seeking a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bolton. This temporary position runs until the end of the academic year, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain further classroom experience, support pupils’ learning, and contribute to a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide classroom support to the class teacher across the curriculum.
•Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
•Assist with behaviour management and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
•Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusive practice.
•Prepare learning materials and maintain a tidy, organised classroom space.
•Supervise pupils during non-classroom times where required.
Requirements
•Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting.
•A relevant qualification (such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.
•A flexible, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
•An enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
