A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a supportive school environment, with roles available across both KS1 and KS2, depending on experience and school needs.

The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with SEN during lessons and structured activities
*
Support learning in line with the pupil’s EHCP targets, helping them access the primary curriculum
*
Assist with differentiated classroom activities, including phonics, literacy, numeracy, and topic work
*
Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, confidence, and independence throughout the school day
*
Use age-appropriate strategies such as visual timetables, now/next boards, structured routines, and communication aids where appropriate
*
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement agreed strategies
*
Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive primary classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and engagement
About You
*
Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (mainstream or SEN)
*
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
*
Reliable and committed to supporting vulnerable learners
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
