In a nutshell As an analyst for the Retail Labour and Operating Model Team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our labour and workforce management strategies. Your responsibilities will include data analysis, defining requirements for our labour & workforce systems, coordination of relevant governance processes and involvement in business projects. We help all corners of the wider business with what they’re trying to achieve and, in this team you can see the results of your work across the whole business, which gives you a real sense of purpose and responsibility, the sheer scale and complexity of our set-up means there’s always something impactful to work on. You’ll work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders, building effective relationships to understand our business outcomes and the part you play in delivering them. Additionally, you will monitor industry best practice, identify market trends and consider ways we can most effectively enhance colleague and customer experiences. We’ve made serious investment in our labour systems, and you’ll need to draw on your previous retail or analytical experience, strong communication and networking skills to enable you to play a pivotal role in implementing our strategic plans, driving successful outcomes, and contributing to the ongoing development of our ways of working. What outcomes I need to deliver Facilitate sustainable change, working cross functionally to create value driven outcomes for stores, colleagues and central teams Co-ordinate stakeholder engagement, developing clear communication strategies and ensuring corporate governance routines are managed successfully Maintain existing processes and data provision, ensuring integrity and accuracy in everything we do Identify new requirements for systems, data or changes to ways of working which will ensure maximum return on investment and colleague/customer experience Manage routines and tasks in the labour and workforce systems as appropriate to your role, responding to queries within agreed timescales Implement educational activities on key activities and data, providing actionable insight to end user customers Develop standardisation and best practice for all labour processes and data usage, validating key information and business benefits as appropriate to your role Operate in a value driven manner, ensuring support for those around you and participation in the team and business culture What I need to know and show Robust understanding of store operations and previous experience working in a retail environment - essential Knowledge of workforce management and labour systems, tools and processes is desirable (we use UKG Pro and Adapt) Understanding of operating and labour models, including but not limited to process mapping, labour measurement methodologies and productivity studies is desirable Proficient with Microsoft Office, Power BI and exceptional Excel skills, experience of Micro Strategy & SQL is desirable, as is previous analyst experience Understanding of governance methods to enable efficient workload delivery and change management Experience of working cross functionally, building great working relationships at all levels with a willingness to challenge the status quo, looking to make continuous improvements Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create simple to understand messages suitable for wide ranging audiences Ability to articulate and present complex work in a clear and succinct manner Taking ownership to create and analyse accurate data, presenting findings to highlight where improvements may be required to drive improved performance A passion for delivering innovation and automation through technology, always doing the right things for our colleagues, customers and business Collaboration with external third parties to deliver projects including and not limited to labour model work measurements, defining new system requirements and understanding industry best practices
