About the Role
* Tripod Partners are recruiting two experienced Occupational Therapists to join Wiltshire Council’s Reablement Teams in Salisbury and Chippenham.
* This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an innovative service designed to support adults to live independently, reduce the need for ongoing care, and improve overall wellbeing. You will be undertaking assessments, designing care/support plans, and managing a varied and complex caseload, while also offering professional support to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out strengths-based occupational therapy assessments with adults, including complex and challenging cases.
* Design and implement innovative reablement plans to support independence and reduce reliance on long-term care.
* Conduct moving and handling risk assessments and provide specialist advice on equipment and adaptations.
* Recommend and oversee minor and major home adaptations, working closely with health professionals, families, and carers.
* Supervise and support junior colleagues within the reablement team.
* Contribute to safeguarding processes and ensure all interventions meet statutory and professional standards.
* Liaise with health, social care, voluntary, and community partners to ensure joined-up support.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration (Occupational Therapist)
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
* Previous experience working with adults, reablement, and adaptations
* Strong knowledge of Health, Housing, and Social Care legislation
* Skilled in moving & handling assessments and developing safe, practical plans
* Confident in managing a large and complex caseload
* Excellent IT skills and experience with case management systems (e.g., Liquid Logic desirable)
