Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Korean Head Chef to lead our Korean hot pot & BBQ kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Korean cuisine, an innovative mindset, and excellent leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Menu Development: Create authentic and innovative Korean dishes, including BBQ, hot pot, and seasonal specials, tailored to our diverse customer base.
• Leadership: Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a positive work environment.
• Food Preparation: Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation align with Tokia Square's standards.
• Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and oversee HACCP implementation.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste while managing food costs effectively.
• Training & Development: Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation, and safety standards to maintain excellence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs, the bar team, and management to deliver a cohesive dining experience.
• Technology Integration: Adapt to and utilize advanced kitchen technologies, such as automated fryers and other innovations used in Tokia Square.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef specializing in Korean cuisine.
• Expertise in preparing Korean BBQ, and other traditional Korean dishes.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with automated kitchen technologies is a plus.
• Minimum Level 2 in Health & Safety
• Minimum Level 2 in HACCP
• Food Safety Level 3
• Any current restaurant workers are preferred.
