Full Job Description
NOCN Group is seeking a freelance End Point Assessor/IQA with significant experience as a Construction Plant Operative to help carry out End Point Assessments for the Construction Plant Operative apprenticeship standard.
Location: Travel may be required to sites
Hours: Freelance
Purpose and Objectives:
* Ensuring End Point Assessments are carried out independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance standards.
* Completing assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assessing apprentices against relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors throughout the Multiple Choice Test, Observation with questioning, and the Professional Interview in accordance with the End Point Assessment plan.
* Uploading assessment reports in a timely manner, in line with NOCN's service level agreements.
* Preparing for assessments promptly and identifying gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
* Building rapport with apprentices to ensure they perform their best during assessments.
* Maintaining up-to-date CPD in their subject area.
* Representing NOCN professionally during assessments.
* Adhering to GDPR practices and ensuring data security.
* Moderating other assessors' work following internal quality assurance procedures.
Role requirements include:
* Holding or working towards an Assessor Qualification (e.g., A1, V1, TAQA).
* Operational experience: Forklift (1 year), Ride-on Roller (1 year), Excavator 360 (2 years), Dumper or Dump Truck (1 year).
* CSCS Card - either competent operator, trainer, tester, or instructor level, endorsed with all relevant plant categories (e.g., excavator above 10 tonnes, rough-terrain forklift, telescopic handler, forward tipping dumper or dump truck, ride-on roller).
