Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in the Rochdale area to recruit a passionate Teacher of Science. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
About the role
You will be joining a growing and ambitious secondary setting, delivering Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with a focus on raising attainment and encouraging scientific curiosity.
Key responsibilities:
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
Delivering a mix of practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting students in achieving strong GCSE outcomes
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Promoting enquiry-based learning and critical thinking

The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in a Science-related subject
QTS or be working towards Qualified Teacher Status
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations
A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people

This role is particularly well-suited to Early Career Teachers, with structured mentoring, reduced timetables (where applicable), and ongoing coaching support available.
