To find out more about NHS Ayrshire and Arran please visit our website - NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position This is an exciting opportunity for a charge nurse to support the initial service development of an Early Intervention in Psychosis Service within Ayrshire & Arran. What you will do: You are responsible for the provision of an Early Intervention service for First Episode Psychosis that aims to promote a vision of recovery as indicated by: maximising levels of engagement, family and carer interventions, minimising psychotic symptoms, clients spending less time in hospital with less use of the mental health act, fewer incidents of self-harm, increased user and carer satisfaction, increased number and range of psychosocial interventions, improved social functioning all of which aim to reduce stigma and engage service users in retaining access to the ordinary activities of their lives. Knowledge, Training and/or experience required to do the job: You must be first level nurse trained in mental health nursing and registered with the Nursing and midwifery council. You should be Educated to minimum degree level or equivalent You must be able to demonstrate Post graduate experience working in a community environment. You must demonstrable a good understanding of the principles of Early intervention for psychosis. You must demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and to prioritise workload, delegate appropriately and adapt to meet person centred care without direct supervision. And the a bility to form therapeutic professional relationships with others and work as a member of the wider team.
