Finance Assistant
Permanent, Full time
Up to £27,000
We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a long-established UK business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and experience supporting finance or accounts functions.
Working closely with the Finance Team to help manage customer accounts, process payments, and support general financial administration, other key responsibilities include:
* Monitor customer balances and support the reduction of overdue payments.
* Contact customers by phone, email and online meetings to resolve queries.
* Update ledgers, allocate payments and assist with month-end tasks.
* Maintain accurate account information including credit limits and status updates.
* Support finance reporting and provide data for management.
* Help prepare and send monthly statements of accounts
* Assist in resolving payment issues and account discrepancies.
* Provide general administrative support across the finance function.
To be considered for this Finance Assistant role, you will have:
Essential:
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
* Strong numerical and analytical ability.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Confident using Microsoft Office 365 and accounting software.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* At least one year's experience in finance, accounts receivable, credit control or similar.
* Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food or drink sectors.
* Understanding of multi-currency or export environments.
