This role would ideally suit a solicitor with 5+ years' PQE, although those with strong Private Wealth experience prior to qualification will also be considered.
You'll manage a varied and high-quality caseload covering all aspects of Private Client work, including:
7. Wills and estate planning
8. Probate and estate administration
9. Trust creation and management
10. Lasting Powers of Attorney
Working closely with a Partner, you will also play a key role in the ongoing development and success of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
Wills & Estate Planning
11. Drafting simple and complex Wills, including tax-efficient structures
12. Advising on inheritance tax, succession planning and asset protection
13. Conducting client meetings and delivering tailored estate planning advice
Probate & Estate Administration
14. Managing matters from instruction through to estate closure
15. Preparing IHT returns, probate applications and estate accounts
16. Liaising with HMRC, clients, beneficiaries and third parties
17. Handling a mix of straightforward and more complex estates
Trusts
18. Advising on trust creation, administration and termination
19. Drafting trust documentation and supporting ongoing compliance
20. Assisting trustees with legal and regulatory obligations
Lasting Powers of Attorney
21. Drafting and registering LPAs
22. Advising clients on responsibilities, capacity and related issues
Client Care & Compliance
23. Delivering a high standard of client service with sensitivity and professionalism
24. Ensuring compliance with SRA, AML and GDPR requirements
25. Maintaining accurate and well-organised case files
