Job Title: SEND Cover Supervisor Job Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) Location: Bristol and Surrounding Areas Salary: £100-£125 per day (DOE) Start Date: Immediate / Flexible Start Contact Name: William Bentley Contact Email: Contact Phone: 0117 422 6167 About the Role Five Education is looking to appoint a confident and adaptable SEND Cover Supervisor to work across specialist and mainstream settings that support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom management skills and a passion for inclusive education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher, deliver pre-set work, and ensure students remain engaged and supported. These roles are vital in maintaining continuity of education, particularly in settings that support young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Delivering planned lessons to small groups or whole classes across KS2-KS4 in SEND provisions. Managing behaviour effectively and using de-escalation strategies when necessary. Supporting pupils' learning and emotional well-being throughout the school day. Working closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to ensure pupils' individual needs are met. Adapting learning tasks where required and providing feedback to teaching staff. What We're Looking For: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A calm, confident presence with the ability to lead a classroom. Familiarity with or willingness to learn about SEND, particularly SEMH and Autism.
