Location: Torbay Hospital, Totnes community hospital, Brixham community hospital, Newton Abbot community hospital, Teignmouth community hospital, Dawlish community hospital
Pay Rate: £22.99 to £36.79 per hour
Shift Patterns: Flexible
About the Trust: We provide health and social care services to our people in their own homes or in their local community. We also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham. We support around 500,000 face-to-face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. We serve a resident population of approximately 286,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season. Responsibilities
* Assess the needs of women, partners, families and carers.
* Plan, deliver and evaluate standards of evidence-based midwifery care.
* Provide full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations and screening.
* Identify high-risk pregnancies.
* Perform other duties as required within the scope of practice for midwifery professionals.
What you’ll need
* A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a Midwife within the last 2 years.
* Compliance with NMC Professional Registration and keeping up to date with current nursing practices.
* Additional certification or skills may be required depending on the Trust.
