Care Supervisor at McCarthy Stone – Ellisfields Court, Taunton, Somerset. Retirement Living Plus development with 58 apartments for the over 70s, set in beautiful grounds.
The Role
We are seeking a professional Care Supervisor to support the management and smooth running of this thriving community, ensuring residents get to live their best lives with on-hand support.
Responsibilities
* Support the management and smooth running of the community of active and independent older people.
* Care and support to homeowners; ensure safety and wellbeing; manage the care and support teams.
* Coordinate and facilitate activities to strengthen community spirit.
* Lead by example, develop skills, and provide emergency support as needed during sleeping shifts.
Hours and Pay
Hours: 32.87 per week (includes day and sleeping night shifts). Day shifts typically 08:45–16:30 or 16:15–09:30. Night shifts 21:30–09:00. Care Supervisors sleep 23:00–07:00 providing emergency support only.
Hourly rate: £14.51 per hour for day shifts; sleeping night shifts £12.24 per hour, plus an extra £1 per hour from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight.
Qualifications
* Experience in care or support environment with excellent care skills.
* QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 preferred; alternative qualifications considered with relevant experience.
* Strong organisational skills, security and safety mindset, and ability to lead care and support teams.
* Able to coordinate activities to strengthen community spirit.
* Committed to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
