These cases include serious injuries such as brain trauma, chronic pain, fractures requiring surgery, and polytrauma, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact in people’s lives.This is more than just a job it’s a chance to be part of a team that values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.What will I be doing?As a Technical Personal Injury Claims Handler, you’ll play a key role in managing complex motor claims with precision and professionalism. Your day today will include:Assessing indemnity, liability, and quantum on motor claims to ensure thorough investigations and cost effective outcomesApplying strategic thinking and commercial awareness to settle claims efficiently keeping lifecycles short and indemnity spend lowDelivering world-class customer service, ensuring every customer is treated fairly and in line with industry and company standardsProactively managing your caseload, staying on top of correspondence and tasks within service level agreements (SLAs)Negotiating settlements on third-party claims with confidence and clarityEnhancing the customer experience by identifying gaps in legal panel performance and driving improvementsKeeping your technical knowledge sharp, staying up to date with market trends and legal developmentsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support smooth claim resolutionEnsuring reinsurer reportable claims are accurately updated and communicated to senior managementSupporting departmental projects focused on cost, service, and process efficiencyHandling referrals from the PI department for all cases valued at £25k and above, offering expert guidance and resolutionWhat do I need?To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally bring:At least 5 years’ experience handling complex personal injury claims (Claimant or Defendant) valued over £100kExcellent communication skills both written and verbal with the confidence to negotiate effectivelyStrong time management and organisational abilities, with a sharp eye for detailThe ability to assess evidence and make sound, commercially driven decisionsA proven track record in managing multi-track bodily injury claims, including those involving liability disputesSolid knowledge of indemnity, liability, and quantum issuesA comprehensive understanding of cradle-to-grave claims handling, covering:Personal injury claims (MOJ, Scottish, and fast track)Advanced liabilityCredit hireFraud awarenessPrinciples of indemnityRTA requirements and Article 75Additional InformationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
