What you’ll be responsible for
As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for:
* Working safely at all times
* Driving and operating Bio-solids tankers and ancillary equipment to facilitate removal of Bio-solids from wastewater treatment works and delivery to reception centres
* Working closely with Bio-solids Schedulers and Supervisors to ensure timely collections and reporting any exceptions
* Carrying out routine daily checks on tankers to comply with Road Traffic Act and Welsh Waters Operators Licence
* Performing daily and weekly checks for roadworthiness; recording driving hours
* Reporting and recording defects; recording nil defects and acting on defects immediately
* Recording quantities, types, and destinations of Bio-solids transported in compliance with legislation and IMS procedures

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Understanding of high performing team dynamics
* HGV Class 1 driving licence
* Responsibility for actions in the field, following procedures and guidelines
* Knowledge of IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDA, and handheld devices
* Ability to travel within the operating area
* Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
* Adaptability to changing priorities
* Ability to develop positive working relationships and represent the business credibly
Good to know
This role requires a HGV Class 1 licence. Interviews will be held in person on 14th July. The role involves 48 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm (4 x 10-hour shifts), and Friday 6:00am-2:00pm (1 x 8-hour shift). Overtime is available.
