Job Description
A leading Regional claimant law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Military Claims Solicitor to join its new specialist department in Wales. This role is ideal for a solicitor with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience in personal injury litigation, particularly with a focus on military claims and noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) cases.
Working as part of a busy but supportive team, you'll manage a caseload of military claims from start to finish. You’ll be trusted to handle matters independently, dealing with claims that range in both complexity and value. You will regularly liaise with medical experts, barristers, and third-party agencies, while providing clear and empathetic guidance to clients who are often current or former service personnel.
The Role:
The work centres on pursuing claims against the Ministry of Defence, primarily for NIHL and other military-related personal injury matters. A solid understanding of the unique legal and procedural issues affecting military claims is essential, including experience of the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and MoD claims protocols. You’ll be expected to handle all stages of litigation, from initial instruction through to trial or negotiated settlement, with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Cardiff, with hybrid options available. The firm is proud of its 9-5 culture, which supports a genuine work-life balance without compromising on quality or client care.
What We're Looking For:
You’ll be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 5 years of PQE in claimant personal injury law. A proven track record in military claims especially deafness or industrial disease cases is highly desirable. You should be confident working independently, able to prioritise effectively, and bring a calm, professional approach to your work. Above all, you’ll be someone who takes pride in delivering excellent client service and understands the sensitivities of representing military clients.
What’s on Offer:
In return, the firm offers a competitive salary, a generous holiday and pension package, and excellent support for professional development. You’ll be joining a well-regarded regional firm that genuinely values its people and offers long-term career opportunities in a collaborative and friendly environment.
If you're looking for a rewarding role that combines complex, meaningful legal work with a supportive firm culture and true work-life balance, we’d love to hear from you.
