We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Office Manager (Private Household) to support our client on a full time, permanent basis. Based out of a beautiful countryside home in rural Hay-on-Wye, this rare opportunity offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work at the heart of a busy and multifaceted professional environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong PA/Office Manager capabilities to a broad role that combines high-level administration, logistical coordination, and support across a range of commercial and private commitments. This position requires discretion, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with efficiency and professionalism.
What you can expect:
* Salary: £35,000+ per annum, depending on experience
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with very occasional out of hours support required
* Travel requirements: occasional travel to Southampton to support in an office
* Hybrid working options, with 3 days per week based at the office

What you will be doing:
* Providing proactive, detail-driven administrative support across a range of family-run operations
* Coordinating and managing administration for diverse businesses from properties to investments
* Support Finance Director by handling banking tasks, making payments, and monitoring company finances
* Drafting professional correspondence including invoices, letters, and client communications
* Diary management, meeting scheduling, and ensuring key priorities stay on track
* Supporting project timelines, maintaining to-do lists, and ensuring tasks are followed through
* Basic property management with tenants and other properties used by the client
* Overseeing household administration
What we are looking for:
Someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in staying organised, and can confidently manage multiple moving parts. Whether you’re booking meetings, balancing the books, or drafting professional emails, you’ll do it all with care and precision.
* An experienced Executive Assistant or Senior Administrator
* Proven experience supporting senior professionals and a natural ability to bring clarity and structure to fast-moving environments
* Financially competent – capable of managing payments, invoicing, and basic accounts
* Calm, composed, and discreet
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* IT literacy
* Commercial acumen with an awareness of business management
