Job Title: Deputy Manager – Supported Accommodation for Young People Location: Preston (travel to the service required) Hours: 42 hours per week, including 2 sleep-in shifts Working Pattern: Hybrid schedule – 2 days 9:00–3:00, 2 days 9:00–4:00, plus 2 sleep-in shifts About the Role Lupa is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Ofsted-registered supported accommodation service for young people in the Preston area. We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care, support, and safeguarding for young people while leading a dedicated staff team. This is a hands-on managerial role, combining leadership, operational management, and direct involvement in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and develop independent living skills. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service Lead, support, and supervise staff working with young people Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies, and safeguarding procedures Manage staff rotas and shift planning, including sleep-in cover Maintain high standards of care, support, and risk management for young people Step into shifts when required, including sleep-in duties Requirements: Proven managerial experience within children’s residential care or supported accommodation for young people Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory expectations Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills Flexible, hands-on approach Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to the Preston service What's on Offer: Competitive salary Supportive team environment Career development opportunities If you're a motivated, experienced care professional looking to progress in a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.
