About the Role
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism. You will inspire pupils to develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking, fostering curiosity and a love of learning.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching practical experiments and investigations safely and effectively
* Supporting pupils in developing scientific knowledge, enquiry skills, and problem-solving abilities
* Assessing pupil progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
* Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
* Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development

Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have strong subject knowledge in Science
* Be confident delivering engaging and practical lessons
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to supporting pupils’ academic progress and scientific curiosity
* Work collaboratively within a department to deliver high-quality outcomes
