We’re looking for experienced and versatile Groundworkers to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality construction and civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Carry out a wide range of groundwork activities, including drainage, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and ducting. Prepare and level sub-bases to specification, ensuring solid foundations for follow-on trades. Lay and finish concrete, paving, and edgings to a high standard. Assist with excavation, backfilling, and reinstatement works. Operate plant and equipment such as dumpers, rollers, and small excavators safely and efficiently. Read and work from drawings and site levels accurately. Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient working area, following all site safety procedures. Work closely with supervisors and other trades to ensure the programme and quality standards are met. Essential Requirements Valid CSCS card. Proven experience in a varied groundwork role. Skilled in using hand and power tools, with experience in drainage, kerbing, and finishing works. Capable of operating dumpers and rollers (with valid CPCS/NPORS tickets). Reliable, proactive, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision. Desirable Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets (e.g. 360 Machine, Telehandler, Dumper, Roller). 5 years’ experience in groundwork, civil engineering, or hard landscaping. Experience working as part of a small team or gang on large-scale projects. General Expectations Punctual, dependable, and committed to delivering quality work. Works collaboratively with colleagues and other site teams. Promotes a safe, efficient, and productive site environment. Must hold Right to Work in the UK.
