* Contract: 12 Month Secondment / Fixed Term Contract

Role Overview

This Fleet Technical Management Engineer role offers a fantastic opportunity to join our Propulsion Engineering team, providing technical support for the Virgin Atlantic aircraft fleet.

Responsibilities

1. Review technical documents from engine manufacturers, equipment vendors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary actions.
2. Provide immediate technical support during operational issues, incidents, and AOG situations, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption.
3. Manage propulsion-related technical aspects cost-effectively, meeting safety and compliance standards.
4. Assist in compiling design and maintenance documentation under CAA Part 21 and Part M approvals.
5. Develop and implement fleet maintenance and modification policies for future operational needs.
6. Investigate non-compliances through internal ORs/MORs and coordinate with vendors and third parties as needed.
7. Manage OEM relationships to ensure ongoing support and improvement.
8. Communicate effectively with all propulsion stakeholders, managing multiple priorities under pressure.
9. Build strong relationships with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers.
10. Represent the company in technical meetings and conferences.
11. Participate in internal meetings (Part M, Design Office, ECIM, etc.).
12. Work within challenging deadlines and high-volume workloads.

Candidate Profile

We seek an engineer with an aviation background, either with previous powerplant experience or the right skills to start a propulsion career. Safety, innovation, and a proactive attitude are essential.

Requirements

* Engineering degree/HND in relevant discipline or EASA/CAA B1/B2 Licence (or equivalent).
* Experience in airline or engine/vendor engineering departments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Trax engineering systems is advantageous.
* Understanding of CAA, EASA, and other airworthiness regulations, including Part M/CAMO and Part 21.
* Familiarity with regulatory and vendor compliance documentation.
* Adaptability to changing demands and priorities.
* Effective stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and foster cross-functional relationships.
* Strong interpretation skills for business and technical messages.
* Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
* Team-oriented, with influencing and conflict resolution skills.
