This is a great opportunity to join a chilled food manufacturer producing pioneering ranges for the major retailers. They are now seeking a driven NPD Manager to lead the development team and help them retain their reputation for high quality products.
The Role
This is a customer focused role where you will work in partnership with a key retail customer, being the key point of contact and developing strong working relationships.
You will be a driving force from concept to launch, working from customer briefs and leading projects that bring delicious new ranges to market. Overseeing the NPD process, you will manage concept development in line with customer schedules and critical paths, co-ordinating factory trials with the process team to guarantee technical and commercial parameters are satisfied. As well as monitoring the progression of new ideas, you will also be refreshing the existing portfolio to make sure the company continues to outstrip the competition.
Proactive and resourceful in your approach, you will help to lead the small NPD team and collaborate with the development chefs to steer the process, identifying the latest food and the best commercial opportunities.
Finally, you’ll conduct presentations to impress your discerning customer with your knowledge and awareness of on-trend innovation, helping this expanding business achieve its ambitious commercial goals.
The Person
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Product Developer looking for a step up, or an NPD Manager looking to work in a fast paced and foodie category. You will have experience of delivering results from concept through to launch and working in a customer facing role with the major retailers.
A true foodie, with a knack for spotting upcoming market trends, you’ll have the ability to apply your research and translate your findings into workable products. This along with a people-focused mindset will ensure you can present to and build rapport with key retail customers, as well as internally with key teams.
Experience of managing or supervising a creative NPD team, as well as chilled category experience would also be highly advantageous.
