Long O Donnell are recruiting an experienced Commercial Lead to oversee the current frameworks and standalone projects portfolio throughout the business. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience delivering client side projects in the gas industry
Key responsibilities
* Early Warning Notices
* Compensation Events
* Certification of Applications for Payments
* Financial control across the assigned projects and to ensure costs and financial reporting are carried out accurately and effectively in line with sanctioned budgets.
* Advising and influencing the annual budget setting position, and raising awareness of budgetary allowances with the work packages leads.
* Supporting with the collation and governance of project estimates.
* Review and drafting of Contract documentation.
* Providing support and challenge on escalated issues and where appropriate approving any procedural amendments.
* Ensuring that funding obligations and reporting requirements are understood and adhered to.
* Driving compliance and completing commercial activities set out in the Major Project Delivery System.
* Oversight of purchase order set-up and administered in accordance with applicable procedures and sanctioned amounts.
* Capture commercial lessons learnt and support the wider project capture lessons learnt challenging contract partners, through the Commercial Governance Process, to demonstrate that they have robust and effective systems to manage performance against our requirements.
* 5+ years experience within relevant commercial discipline
* 3+ years’ experience within gas sector
* QS, Commercial Management, or similar qualification (degree preferred)
* Demonstrable experience with NEC3/NEC4 form of Contracts
* Knowledge of ECC
This role is offered as hybrid working where the candidate will be able to split time between office and home if required. Full right to UK required for the role.
