Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individual to appoint into the post of Social Work Support Officer within the kinship support service. This is a team, established in October 2022, supporting children and families living within kinship arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential administrative support to social workers, family workers and welfare rights officers within a Children’s Social Care setting.
* Act as the first point of contact for families, local authority professionals and partner agencies; manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone and occasionally in person.
* Record information accurately onto the internal Mosaic database; ensure accurate recording of information.
* Demonstrate excellent listening, recording and typing skills; assist with minute taking as needed.
* Be highly organized, with strong time management skills; work towards and meet deadlines.
* Build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and families alike.
* Work in a hybrid arrangement (office-based and/or work from home) with occasional limited travel; driving licence is advantageous but not essential. A taxi service is provided where disability precludes this.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience as an administrator with working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Teams, Word, Excel, databases, PowerPoint and Outlook; ideally knowledge of SharePoint.
* Experience in minute taking is advantageous.
* Ability to manage sensitive information and to record information accurately onto the internal system (Mosaic).
* Excellent listening, recording and typing skills; ability to communicate effectively with families and professionals.
Working Arrangements and Location
* Work Base: Trent Bridge House, West Bridgford, NG2 6BJ
* Hours per week: 18.5
* Bonded to a Part Time, Permanent role with a Hybrid working arrangement
* Preferred working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (flexible/discussable)
* Hybrid working both at home and at office bases is supported
* Location for interviews: The Home Brewery Building, Sir John Robinson Way, Daybrook NG5 6DA

* Salary: £26,824 - £29,540 per annum (pro rata)
