We require an onshore Mechanical Technician (mobile) to join our marine client in Lochgilphead. As a Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the onshore maintenance and repairs of shore and sea based Marine assets THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT * Qualified Technician/Engineer – Mobile Plant/Automotive/Marine or similar discipline. * Familiar with maintenance of petrol/diesel engines. * Knowledge of hydraulic systems. * Familiar with 12/24v electrical systems. * Familiar with a range of ancillary plant such as material handlers, generators, compressors and pumps. * IT proficient, knowledge of Excel and Word. * A flexible approach to working hours and the ability to work in a changing fast-paced environment. * Experience of liaising with external contractors and maintaining good working relationships. * A good team player, with strong attention to detail and able to work under own initiative. * Marine background (preferred). * Basic fabrication skills (preferred). * Basic electrical skills - 240v (preferred) * UK Drivers licence JOB DESCRIPTION * Responsible to ensure compliance of all Company policies and procedures. * You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of legislative compliance across certified bodies. * Participation in weekly toolbox talks and perform all duties in a safe manner whilst working as a team player. * You must ensure a safe working environment exists for working practices and for all employees on site, actively keeping all working areas clear and clean. * You will carry out and prioritise works via the CMMS system, along with recording all tasks and parts/material usage on the CMMS system. * It will be your responsibility to keep accurate records of maintenance and purchasing. * You will participate and take part in an out of hours rota as required. * You will respond to emergencies as required and support the emergency services.
