About The Role
As a Unit Manager at HC-One, you will value kindness above all. This core value influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those residents.
The role involves taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and ensuring the highest level of care. You will also run the entire home in the absence of the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager. Your duties include addressing residents' needs with dignity and ensuring their well-being, whether reporting mobility issues, monitoring samples, or administering medication.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We prioritize inclusive practices and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
We aim to provide a smooth onboarding process, from job offer to start date, ensuring an excellent experience for our new colleagues.
About You
You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Your positive energy, natural ability to connect with people, and readiness to take accountability are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
