Sales Development Representative
Remote based – UK
Salary £25K - £29K basic with uncapped comms ( Earnt per meeting booked for AE’s)
My client is a profitable fintech business founded in the UK & now operating globally. After 8yrs of trading behind them & hitting profitability a few years back – Its an exciting time to join the business with focus on scale, customer acquisition and continuous product improvement
They have a unique accounting tech platform allowing SME & Mid Market businesses to ‘ grow fearlessly’ with no worry around credit control, cash flow management & accounting as it can all be automated through their software.
This role reports directly into the Sales Team Lead and will work closely with AE’s and Head of Marketing. Brilliant top performing & supportive team to join and learn from
Its an exciting role for a SDR to work with different business owners internationally & pitch benefits of the accounting tech product. 95% of leads currently come from Marketing ( Website, trade shows & SEO searches) so are nice warm landings & this will be paired with Outreach prospecting with the new tech we are implementing such as LI sales Nav and Congnism.
What you'll be doing as Sales Development Representative
* Qualify inbound leads and move them into discovery or demo stages with the BDM’s ( Any appointments attending will qualify for commission)
* Maintain high-volume daily prospecting activity to meet pipeline targets.
* Conduct prospecting via email, phone, LinkedIn, and sequencing tools
* Research and identify ideal-fit leads based on ICP qualification criteria to ensure quality prospects are being introduced
* Personalise outreach messaging to demonstrate relevance and value – This will help you build best practice
* Validate prospect fit based on financial operations setup, AR challenges and tech stack
* Run effective discovery questions to understand need, urgency, and buying triggers – You can then help with the BDM’s closing deal as they will have all relevant information
* Maintain accurate CRM updates, pipeline hygiene, and next-step clarity
* Work with Marketing to improve lead quality and messaging resonance
Requirements for the Sales Development Representative
* Min 6 months B2B SDR experience
* Interest in financial services / Accounting / Technology
* Hard working, growth mindset, keen to succeed
* Confident communicator
* Proactive, resilient, driven by hitting targets
* Emotionally intelligent – Good at rapport building, handling objections
* Curious & eager to learn more about the market from each prospect
* Good team player
