Working as a Treasury Analyst here at Saga, you will be key to maintaining the financial health of our organization by mitigating risks, safeguarding assets, and optimizing returns. This is a critical role within our fast-paced Treasury operations and serves as a central point of contact within a small, dynamic team.
Our Treasury department manages the Group’s cash, debt, currency, commodity hedges, and investment strategies. We operate as an enterprise function with internal stakeholders across the Group and external stakeholders including lenders and auditors.
We work in a hybrid manner at Saga, combining remote work and in-office presence. The Treasury team works from Folkestone up to twice a week, with occasional meetings in London.
Role Responsibilities
You will provide a professional, high-quality, reliable, and efficient service to colleagues primarily within Saga Finance and Group Professional Services, as well as other teams, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for all Treasury-related issues. You will be the key contact for external Treasury partners, including banks, financial service providers, and auditors.
Your responsibilities include:
* Following our Business Code of Conduct with integrity and due diligence.
* Managing enterprise-wide cash balances daily to prevent overdrafts and invest surplus funds according to policy, ensuring regulatory capital is protected.
* Maintaining daily liquidity forecasts with a rolling three-month outlook, providing updates to senior colleagues on cash positions and headroom.
* Assisting with process improvements and automation, particularly in cash management, collaborating with the finance transformation team to enhance systems and portals.
* Handling FX settlements for the Travel business in accordance with Group policy, including weekly coordination and monthly reporting.
* Preparing and processing manual payments and coordinating authorization processes.
* Managing online banking and portal administration, including user and contact list maintenance.
* Owning bank mandates and coordinating changes with the Company Secretarial Team and banks, maintaining a master database.
* Preparing monthly reports on cash, debt facilities, FX, interest, and forward rates, and supporting ad hoc market data requests.
* Acting as a primary contact for banking and other partners, including managing KYC requests.
* Managing the Treasury inbox and responding promptly to inquiries.
* Supporting ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
* Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
* A sense of urgency and the ability to embody the Saga value of “Make it happen”.
* Ability to work independently.
* High accuracy and self-review skills, especially when handling material transactions and foreign exchange trades.
* Ability to identify training needs to bridge knowledge gaps.
* Background in treasury, economics, or accounting.
* Familiarity with banking and payment mechanisms is advantageous.
* Experience in forecasting and variance analysis to enhance accuracy is beneficial.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Refinitiv Eikon or Bloomberg, especially within Microsoft Excel.
* Familiarity with finance platforms such as Workday.
