An opportunity is available for two Operator (Substation Fitter's) based in Birmingham.As an Operator you will assist a Craftsperson with general site work associated with the repair, maintenance and construction of plant and switchgear up to 66kV. You will be responsible for carrying out substation inspections and to support the craftsperson with the repair and maintenance of high voltage plant & switchgear. The work involves being away from the depot, either lone working when undertaking substation inspections or working in a team of two people. To apply, you will need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills.
