Role: Shipping Coordinator
Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain
Department: Supply Chain, UK
Based: Hillington Park, Glasgow
Reporting into our Head of Supply Chain, our Shipping Coordinators play a key role in managing the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our global network. They take ownership of our daily open order and shipment file, ensuring on-time delivery performance and coordinating freight movements across the UK, Middle East and Australia.
responsibilities:
* Prepare and complete our open order and shipment file on a daily basis.
* Ensure adherence to our KPI for on time delivery.
* Raising freight POs for all freight movements and coordinating these with our freight forwarder and finance team.
* Working directly with the Warehouse team, Supply Chain Team and Sales teams in the Outbound delivery of orders to the UK, Middle East and Australia.
what we're looking for:
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel is essential at an advanced level.
* Knowledge of Business Central
* The ability to demonstrate good problem solving
* Accuracy and an eye for detail are also vital.
* A desire and passion to deliver exceptional service to customers is crucial.
* Experience with M365 is required to carry out this role as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience dealing with International Freight Sea and Air within a Freight forwarding company or in a similar role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel is essential at an advanced level.
