Senior Finance Business Partner – UK Refinery
Location: Weybridge (Hybrid) with frequent travel to Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery
Reporting to: Group Head of Financial Planning, Analysis & Business Partnering
Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level in a dynamic and vital sector? Prax Group is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support the financial and operational performance of Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery.
This is a high-impact role where strategic thinking meets hands-on execution. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, providing critical financial insights that drive performance, efficiency, and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
* Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for both Site and Group Leadership Teams.
* Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
* Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunities.
* Monitor key financial KPIs to ensure alignment with refinery goals.
* Oversee month-end activities including hedge reconciliation, accrual reviews, pricing validation, and system reconciliations.
Business Partnering:
* Be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, offering financial insights that shape key decisions.
* Collaborate with refinery management to drive cost control and operational efficiency.
* Present financial data in a clear, actionable format to senior stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience:
* 10+ years in finance within oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing—ideally in a refinery or petrochemical setting.
* Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Proven ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
* ERP experience (SAP or similar).
