Interim Assistant Management Accountant
* Location: Godalming
* Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (approx. 3 months)
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Start Date: Ideally 26th August, no later than 1st September
* Pay Rate: £150 – £187 per day (Umbrella)
We are seeking an Interim Assistant Management Accountant to join a finance team for approximately three months. This hands-on role is based at the head office, supporting a busy and complex finance function. The successful candidate will need to go through an enhanced DBS screening for this role.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage billing and sales ledger in a high-volume, complex environment.
* Handle deferred and accrued income recognition.
* Support credit control activities.
* Perform month-end tasks, including calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments, posting of payroll journals (payroll is run separately), and bank reconciliations.
* Assist with purchase ledger tasks as needed.
* Maintain accurate double-entry bookkeeping including trial balance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar finance role.
* Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, trial balance, complex billing, deferred and accrued revenue, accruals and prepayments, and payroll journals.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Must be a driver due to office location and required off-site visits.
