Reporting directly to the Group Compliance Monitoring Senior Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the business in the management of global regulatory risk through the development and implementation of a robust and dynamic compliance monitoring programme. Experienced in delivering assurance activities with expertise in a range of regulatory areas. You’ll be able to look at these through an Assurance lens whilst having a passion for innovation helping to shape the future of our monitoring function.
Responsibilities
Support in the overall planning, implementation and successful delivery of the Group Compliance Monitoring Plan.
* Driving continuous change and improvement across all aspects of monitoring work.
* Designing and conducting regular monitoring tests, concluding on these tests, producing recommendations, and following up with the business areas where relevant.
* Taking the lead on thematic reviews. With support from senior team members, scoping, planning, testing, completion and reporting on final results. Liaising with relevant business areas throughout the scoping, testing and reporting phases.
* Taking responsibility for working with the business areas to ensure that any agreed findings and actions from reviews are resolved within agreed timeframes.
* Becoming a subject matter expert – making sound judgements and decisions and escalating where necessary. Sharing knowledge throughout the team.
* Keeping up to date on regulatory developments relevant to responsibilities, proposing and implementing solutions as appropriate.
* Take responsibility for representing the monitoring team on business and regulatory projects as required
* Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload and communicate this to your manager.
* Be innovative in your approach to utilising software and technology to ensure the team operates as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Your Knowledge and Experience:
* Proven significant experience in assurance, ideally with an emphasis on financial crime (e.g., Money Laundering, Economic Sanctions, Bribery & Corruption, Modern Slavery, Fraud and Market Abuse).
* Relevant experience using technology and data.
* Appropriate knowledge of regulatory requirements aligning closely with the firm’s global footprint.
* Financial Services experience, preferably within a Financial Institution or Asset Manager.

* Ability to take a truly global approach to compliance monitoring in order to ensure the programme covers our 14 global regulators.
