Work Hours and Schedule
37.5 hours per week, x4 days per week. Normal working hours are 8-6pm or 10am-8pm. Some services run 7.30am-7.30pm therefore some late working will be necessary. You will be expected to work weekends on a rostered basis. Some shifts are 12 hours in duration.
Location
The job role is based at Broomfield Hospital although working at sites including Braintree and Maldon is also necessary.
About the Radiology Admin Team
The Radiology Admin Team consists of approximately 35-40 staff. We are an extremely busy department, covering a variety of different reception areas, appointments office and occasionally working across sites. We are a friendly, supportive and hard-working team supporting our patients needs and clinical colleagues at all times.
Responsibilities
* To work as part of a team providing an efficient and effective computerised appointment system including reception duties within the Radiology Department always ensuring a high quality of service. Patients and visitors are welcomed, and their individual needs met in an appropriate and courteous manner.
* Booking appointments with patients over the telephone, as well as any cancellations and subsequent bookings using the computerised systems.
* Booking clinics from the Radiology Waiting Lists adhering to the Patient Access Plan and breach date.

The role is varied and involves being the first point of contact for people wanting to access our services. So, an excellent interpersonal manner is essential. The role will involve being the access point for patients into the service. The ability to maintain an accurate computer appointment system for patients is key. You will be working alongside other administrative staff in the role.
