This role goes beyond design expertise. It requires a leader. Someone who can inspire a team, shape strategic direction, and elevate design as a central function within the business.
We are looking for a design leader with presence and passion. Someone who brings energy to every room, who lifts the people around them, and who sees design not as a department but as a mindset. You will inspire teams to think boldly and deliver elegantly, embedding a culture of curiosity, craft, and continuous improvement.
As Head of Product Design, you will lead a talented, multidisciplinary team and elevate design as a strategic force. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership to guide both the long-term direction and the everyday moments that shape great customer experiences.
As Head of Product Design, your key duties will include:
* Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Product Designers
* Champion a feedback-rich, inclusive, and collaborative design culture
* Embed customer-centric thinking throughout the business
* Use research and insight to design elegant, data-informed user journeys
* Lead the team that will build and communicate a compelling product vision through prototypes and artefacts
* Partner with cross-functional teams to align design strategy with business outcomes
* Ensure delivery aligns with user value and measurable outcomes
* Instil an outcome-focused, action-oriented culture with the energy and pace of a high-performing start-up
* Lead with commercial acumen, ensuring design-led decisions are grounded in customer success and commercial outcomes
As Head of Product Design, you will:
* Have 10+ years in UX/Product Design, ideally within fast-paced, D2C or FinTech environments
* Service design
* Have proven ability to lead, coach, and elevate design teams
* Have hands-on design experience and a portfolio of impactful, user-led work
* Have expertise in user research, iterative discovery, and product strategy
* Be a strong communicator and storyteller, able to influence senior stakeholders
* Be adept at navigating ambiguity, simplifying complexity, and driving clarity at scale
* Have a passion for craft, but grounded in commercial outcomes and real-world impact
