The Role
Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of an allocated area, approximately 24 primary school kitchens, working with the Unit Manager to ensure the kitchens operate and comply within set standards, policies, codes of practice and procedures.
You will also support recipe and menu development, on‑the‑job training and marketing of the service.
Essential Requirements
* Current Valid UK Driving Licence
* Qualification City & Guilds Catering or NVQ Level 2 Catering Qualifications or equivalent
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or equivalent
* Experienced catering manager with proven track record of managing teams
* Focused on continuously improving standards and providing high levels of customer service to stakeholders
* Enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ideally school catering background with understanding of menu planning and budgets
* Confident in use of IT and experience of Microsoft Office
* Designated customer‑facing role under the fluency duty requiring specified level of spoken English
