Part Time/Term Time (20 hours a week / 36 weeks) We are looking to appoint a dedicated College Counsellor to maintain and develop our counselling and welfare provision, supporting the wellbeing of all our students. In conjunction with the college mental health team who support retention and attainment, the successful applicant will provide specialist support and interventions for students experiencing mental health difficulties, including clinical assessment, drop-in service, short-term counselling, signposting and supported referrals to appropriate agencies. The successful applicant will also be the ‘go-to’ person for any tutor enquiries about supporting the mental health of their students. Applicants must hold a relevant degree, or equivalent professional qualification, and have a strong track record of counselling young people. It would be highly desirable if this candidate would be interested in a possible Lecturing role. In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
