School Attendance Officer - Haringey (Ongoing Temporary Role)Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm, Monday to FridayStart: ASAPLocation: Haringey, North LondonContract Type: Ongoing TemporaryKey Responsibilities
* Monitor and track daily student attendance and punctuality.
* Use SIMS (School Information Management System) to record, update, and analyse attendance data.
* Follow up on unexplained absences through calls, emails, and letters to parents/carers.
* Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and pastoral teams.
* Work closely with safeguarding and pastoral staff to identify attendance concerns early.
* Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with GDPR requirements.
* Support the wider admin team when needed.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar school-based attendance role (essential).
* Strong working knowledge of SIMS for attendance management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced school environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Availability to work full-time, 8:00am-4:15pm.
