Responsibilities
* Join the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group (LRiG) in the Department of Health Data Science (HDS) within the Institute of Population Health (IPH).
* Generate and critique evidence to inform healthcare decision-making as part of an established NIHR External Assessment Group.
* Work with a multidisciplinary team of systematic reviewers, health economists and statisticians to critique economic evidence submitted to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as part of Technology Appraisal processes and other NIHR HTA and evidence synthesis projects.
* Contribute to other projects in methods research or by collaborating with University colleagues, NHS partners and industry on applied projects.
Qualifications
* At least a Master’s degree in health economics, operational research, statistics, mathematics or a related field.
* Some knowledge of HTA methods (e.g., cost-effectiveness analysis or decision modelling).
* Experience with NICE processes (such as TA or HealthTech) would be advantageous, but full training and support will be provided.
* Support for part-time study for a PhD may be available.
