The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operative to join our team at the Redditch Express Asphalt plant. This role is fast-paced, dynamic, extremely varied and challenging, and rewarding for someone who genuinely cares about customers and works well with others.
Start time is 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with weekend work included.

About the Role
The most important things are working safely and providing excellent customer service. Other key elements include the following responsibilities:
* Mixing material consistently using the Plant Computer
* Receiving customer orders and processing them
* Weighing vehicles at the weighbridge and producing documentation with correct order numbers
* Handling internal and external customer requirements, queries and complaints
* Carrying out pre-start checks on fixed and mobile plant to ensure safe operation
* Carrying out routine maintenance including greasing and visual inspections as scheduled
* Operating the loading shovel withAttachments
What will you bring?
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong IT literacy
* Flexibility with work hours and willingness to work weekends
* Desire for training and willingness to learn
* Experience operating mobile plant is desirable
* Sound understanding of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations
