Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join the team .
This is an ideal opportunity to join our team of mechanics and technicians at our modern, well equipped maintenance facility.
The role involves diagnostics, repair and maintenance on the company’s fleet of:
* Mainly Volvo trucks, but also including Scania & MAN
* 160 trailers
* Small plant machinery, including tractor units, cranes, service vans, tug masters
This role would also be suited to a qualified Car Mechanic who is looking to progress their career. Full training and support will be provided.
About you:
* Ideally a qualified HGV Mechanic, however applications from those with a background in mechanics/engineer are very welcome
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good team player
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspecting & maintaining Ferguson Transport fleet of vehicles and trailers
* Travelling to sites to deal with breakdowns
* Filling in paperwork and records as required for the role
* Carry out repairs according to Ferguson Transport procedures in a safe and responsible manner
* Report to your workshop Supervisor when work is completed
* Use Volvo/Scania special tools as and when required
* Any responsibilities & tasks delegated by the senior management
* Develop skills and knowledge through external and internal in-house training and supervision
* Ensure that you conduct yourself in a business like and professional manner at all times
