Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Eastwood Park, located near Bristol. A female prison with a 400 capacity.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
This is a full time role – 37.5 hours.
* Monday – Friday 7.15 – 19.00
* Saturday – Sunday 8.15 – 19.00
* 1 x catch up shift approximately every 6 weeks.
Salary
Annual salary between £34,428 – £41,659 per annum (FTE) – Depending on Experience.
This position is full time, however part‑time hours can be considered.

Main duties of the job
* Provide outstanding quality based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
