THE ROLE
This is an exciting and dynamic role working as part of a creative team across a range of new and established clients with an important focus on maintaining the creative excellence which is the agencies foundation. We're attracted to people who are excited by what they you do: so, if we've got your endorphins tingling, read on.
This isn't your typical "agency job." You'll still be self-employed and free to take on your own work, but as part of our collective you'll also have a steady stream of projects, a shared workspace, a team that has your back and many more perks that allow you to focus on what you do best. It's the best of both worlds: independence with the support and resources of a creative agency.
As the designer within the collective you'll work closely alongside other creative and strategic functions to provide 'how do they do that…?' kind of work. Visual artistry is your flex, you see compositions others cant and communicate through images in ways others don't. Having supporting skills like animation, motion etc is just cream on top… assuming you like cream. Otherwise replace with something you like.
Let's summarise: You're an independent who sees value in being part of a team but wish to retain your own identity. You can't help but ooze creativity, passion and confidence to bring fresh and innovative thinking to help our clients achieve commercial and brand objectives.
As Volt7 continues to grow you will have the opportunity to shape its direction and future design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As Volt7's newest member of the collective your priority will be delivering outstanding creative work that supports our client campaigns.
In addition, key tasks we'd like you focus on;
· Contribute to new business pitches, pitch and creative development
· Be a trusted advisor to the collective, wider team and clients.
· Work collaboratively to produce stand out creative ideas and outputs
· Build strong internal relationships and identify willingly as part of the collective.
· Dream up and deliver original, striking designs across digital, print, and branding.
· Balance your own workload while contributing to collective goals. Effectively project manage workloads both personally but also dependencies allowing impeccable stakeholder management
· Maintain a strong knowledge of, and monitor latest trends that are relevant to your expertise.
· Jump into collaborative projects and share ideas with fellow creatives
· Shape the creative direction of projects with your unique perspective
· Represent the agency when required as a thought leader and creative representative.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
In our experience this is the right blend of ask for the role, but if you think we're wrong – let us know.
· A design approach that comes with a couple of years professional experience under your belt.
· A portfolio that makes us stop searching, it demonstrates you as much as your work.
· Excellent visual storytelling skills across different formats.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other platforms like Figma for UI/UX is a nice to have.
· Knowledge of web and motion graphics design would be really cool.
· A real eye for detail, composition, typography, and motion.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, creative environment with Good time management and a reliable approach to deadlines
· Happy to work from the office a few days per week to really immerse in the collective
· Your own hardware, but we're happy to support within reason
