Senior Civil Technician - Birmingham (Hybrid) £38,000 - £50,000 + benefits + hybrid working
I'm currently working with a well-established, design-led engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Technician into its Birmingham team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who wants to work on high-quality development infrastructure projects in a business where technicians play a key role in delivery, not just production.
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a strong civils team delivering projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, covering highways, drainage and external works from concept through to construction.
The business has a consistent pipeline of work and offers a collaborative, close-knit environment where individuals have real ownership over their output.
The Role
Production of 2D and 3D civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD / Civil 3D
Supporting the design of roads, drainage and site infrastructure
Working across multiple projects at various design stages
Coordinating with engineers, architects and external stakeholders
Ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with design standards
Supporting and mentoring more junior technicians where required
What They're Looking For
Experience working within a civil engineering consultancy
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Background in development-led infrastructure (drainage, highways, levels)
Ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings
Strong communication skills and team collaboration
Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of work
Why Consider This Role?
Strong project pipeline and job security
Good balance of technical work and ownership
Clear progression within a growing team
Collaborative, non-corporate environment
Flexible / hybrid working
