Cover Supervisor Henllys Church of Wales School

£14.13 per hour
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our dedicated and nurturing team of staff. Henllys is a highly successful Church in Wales School situated in Cwmbran. Our aim is to provide an outstanding education, rooted in the Christian faith and values, where all learners are able to reach their full potential. Our mission statement is, Inspire, Challenge, Achieve, Nurture, and this 'I CAN' belief permeates across the school. Our children know that they are loved, feel confident and secure, and flourish in our happy and inclusive environment.
Applicants will work to support pupils aged between 4 and 11. They should be reliable, resilient and flexible, and work well as part of a team. All applicants should possess the following:
1. Be able to work under the instruction and guidance of teaching and/or members of the school leadership team.
2. Be able to support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning.
3. Assist the teacher in the management of pupils within the classroom and beyond.
4. Supervise whole classes during short term absences.
5. Experience of working with children, including those with additional learning needs.
6. Ability to support pupils' emotional wellbeing and development.
7. The ability to follow instruction and a desire to further professional development.
8. Enthusiasm and a conscientious approach.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all applicants which will include an Enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
