Responsibilities
1. Manufacture and inspect components to drawing specification.
2. Set up and operate variety of milling, turning and inspection equipment as per prescribed standard operating procedures.
3. Monitor tool life and aid in the developing of process control by utilising pre-control & statistical process control techniques.
4. In conjunction with the team leader, supervisors and manufacturing engineers adopt lean manufacturing and continuous improvement opportunities to optimise productivity.
5. Compliance to good housekeeping methods and adherence to 5s to support a methodical and efficient work area.
Qualifications
Education:
Ideally apprentice trained or equivalent proven experience in milling and turning.
Experience:
6. Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role.
7. Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
8. Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.
9. Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
10. Proficiency in using relevant ispection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
11. Experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (GF, Mazak,Robodrill).
Competencies:
12. Highly numerate team player with the ability to work to high standards and exacting targets
13. Ability to manufacture and inspect to engineering drawings.
14. Capable of multi-tasking and with high levels of attention to detail for both manufacture and documentation
15. Project a flexible, proactive approach, coupled with the willingness to ensure outputs are achieved – working overtime as required.
